The constant 80° + days means that summer is finally here! As Dane County continues to open up, there are more and more outdoor events offered around us. It’s time to get outside and experience the beautiful area we live in again. Check out these events happening in the greater Madison area this June!
Dine in the Dream Park Streets of Sun Prairie – Thurs. June 17
Local Downtown Sun Prairie restaurants and retail pop-ups will be at the Dream Park to kick-off the Streets of Sun Prairie event series! Music and other family activities will also be offered.
Shades of Black. A Black Cultural Festival – Thurs. June 17
Celebrate the 2nd Annual Shades of Black Culture Festival! Watch live performances by local artists while you enjoy free food and fun activities for the whole family, support local Black-owned businesses, and see how we can come together to encourage and support one another.
Dane County Farmers Market returns to the square – Sat. June 19
Welcome the Dane County Famers Market back to the Capital Square! Come to support local vendors every Saturday from 6: 15 am – 1:45 pm.
Benefit Juneteenth Celebration – Sat. June 19
The team at the Biergarten at Olbrich Park wishes to state, publicly and proudly, their support for the Black Lives Matter movement and all those pushing for justice and equity. This Juneteenth celebration will benefit the Nehemiah Center for Urban Leadership Development, featuring Delta Brewing Company’s “Black Is Beautiful” Ale. More info here
Taste of Stoughton – Sat. June 19
The Taste of Stoughton is an annual event showcasing the best menu items from local Stoughton restaurants. In total, there will be 12 food vendors, 10 non-food vendor booths, a local brewery, cidery & locally owned wine to top off the event! Musicians will also be jamming the stage the entire day.
Madison Summer Vegan pop-up market – Sat. June 19
Experience a day full of your favorite vegan food, products, and friends. Admission is free and all exhibitor fees will be donated to the Wisconsin farm sanctuaries and Primates Inc.
Family Night on Lake Mendota – Tues. June 22
Bring your family to the Memorial Union Terrace for a fun evening on the lake! Join the Outdoor UW paddling instructors for some awesome games, sightseeing, and paddling on Lake Mendota.
