Mission Statement
The mission of Crestwood Elementary School is to provide each child with the attitudes, knowledge, and skills for becoming a lifelong learner through an environment that values curiosity, challenge, cooperation, creative and critical thinking, sensitivity and respect.
Location
Crestwood Elementary School is located on Madison’s northwest side. A school has been located on this site for over 100 years. Crestwood serves students from the immediate neighborhood, Hawk’s Landing, Hawk’s Woods and from the Allied Drive area.
High Family Satisfaction
Crestwood has a diverse student population and the staff works diligently to include parents in school decisions. Crestwood is committed to developing a positive, caring community within each classroom environment.
Family Partnerships
Crestwood Association of Parents & Teachers (CAPT) meets the second Tuesday of each month at school. This group works to provide a link between home, school and the district. It supports academic programming by planning special events such as student assemblies. Through fund raising activities they raise money which also is used to support school academics. Academic Achievement
Crestwood has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a “Blue Ribbon School.” Crestwood students consistently score higher than their state and national peers on standardized tests.
