A primary reason for parents making the decision to have their child attend McFarland Primary School (MPS) is due to its reputation of commitment to excellence; creating a learning environment composed of student pride-care-compassion, professionalism of school  staff, and the ability of staff to support student success regardless of the unique educational profile each and every child brings to the learning environment.

Student support and student success is anchored in the high expectations established for families and staff; the expectation of having all students experience high quality achievement; providing an environment of support–challenges–respect. As young children continue along their educational career, their experiences and success at MPS compliment their educational journey through the K-12 McFarland School District.

Student’s can also take advantage of the Gifted and Talented (GT) resource program provided at MPS. Found both in the classroom and through curriculum, grouping opportunities and through supplementary program options will help students to take advantage of their educational strengths. Identification of students who demonstrate exceptionalities in the areas of creativity, academics, intellectual ability, fine arts, etc. is accomplished informally through teacher observation of student performance.
