Philosophy
Our mission as a school is to build a community of learners who are respected for who they are, challenged to reach their potential, and encouraged to discover the absolute joy of learning.
Location
Country View Elementary school is a K-5 school in the city of Verona, Wisconsin. We proudly serve approximately 550 students and their families. Located near Madison, Wisconsin, our student population represents the rich cultural and economic diversity of Dane County.
Class Size
Country View is organized into four classroom clusters (pods) designed to promote student interaction and sharing among teachers. Each pod has a variety of movable walls, large and small group instruction areas and resource areas. The teachers in each pod not only share resources and ideas, but they also have direct involvement in the budget development, hiring, planning and governance for the entire school.
Class sizes average 15 students in K-3 classrooms and 21-23 students in 4th and 5th grade classrooms. Low class size allows us to provide a more individualized, hands-on learning environment for each student.
